OPPORTUNITY

The world of personal finance among plenty of other industries is male-dominated. When it comes to the variety of areas of personal finance and money management, there are lot of resources and information out there that can be intimidating, overwhelming, and perhaps too general, especially for women.

INSIGHT

In a study by the TIAA Institute researching financial literacy between women and men, only 12% of women demonstrated a high level of financial literacy in comparison to 27% of men. There is a clear gap in financial literacy between the binary genders and this series of infographics is meant to investigate the activity of women in personal finance with a reflection of this disparity in mind.

RESULTS

There are numerous global economic inequalities still in the process of change that women have to face, but as women adjust themselves into a position with more buying power, it’s now time to see how they use it, and if the general behaviors/trends are in their best interest. This platform aims to inform and encourage women to expand their financial literacy as it considers the unique factors and obstacles that women experience in finance.
